Continuing Education for Dental Professionals in Greater Palm Beach County

 
The Atlantic Coast Dental Research Clinic membership gives the progressive dental professional the opportunity to participate in accredited, participation courses involving didactic and clinical classes. The Research Clinic facilities of the Dental Health Service Department at Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, Florida, are utilized for classroom and clinical education. The goals of the Research Clinic are to provide an opportunity for continuing education of dentists, hygienists and assistants and contribute to the clinical education of the Dental Assisting students enrolled at the college.

 

Sections are chaired by members of the Atlantic Coast Dental Research Clinic. Chairpersons are selected for their knowledge, expertise, and reputation in the areas of study. A considerable amount of time and research is involved in preparing the courses in order to provide up-to-date, state-of-the-art instruction in practical procedures which will enhance the dentist’s skills and experience.

 

Dentist members of the Research Clinic are required to participate in both morning didactic and afternoon clinical sessions, if offered. Attendance in both sessions is necessary in order to receive continuing education credit. This requirement is to ensure that the didactic material and the clinical material are studied, to guarantee participation in the clinical education of the Dental Assisting Students, and to help provide low cost dental care for the community.

 

Sponsorship of a continuing education course by the Atlantic Coast Dental Research Clinic does not imply subject matter, product or technique endorsement. This material is offered to the professional for educational purposes in a spirit of academic freedom.

 

The Atlantic Coast Dental Research clinic has been designated an approved Program Provider by the Florida constituent of the Academy of General Dentistry. This Program Provider’s formal CDE programs are accepted by the AGD for membership maintenance, Fellowship and Mastership credits. The current term of approval extends from April 17, 2012 to May 31, 2016 .
