Dental Marketing Strategies

Attracting More Patients in Today's Economy with Dental Marketing Strategies

Chairman: Michael I. Barr, D.D.S.

Dr. Michael I. BarrDr. Michael Barr graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Dentistry in 1988. After graduating he served as a Dental Officer in the U.S. Navy for three years. Since then he has practiced in Palm Beach County. He has been a member of the Research Clinic for 15 years.

Dr. Barr built his first dental practice website in 1999 and has been an insatiable student of marketing since. He has tried just about every form of advertising there is. He is the author of “The Complete Website Owner’s Manual for Dentists,” and lectures nationally on the topic of website marketing.

Dr. Barr and the Research Clinic board felt that given today’s economy, this course would be beneficial to our dental community. The time is right!

Course Objective:
Marketing, at one time, was taboo in the Dental profession. It was considered "unprofessional” and beneath our professional stature. Times have certainly changed, and dental marketing is largely accepted. It’s even arguable that dental marketing has raised the “dental IQ” of the public. Certainly Organized Dentistry’s feeble attempts at “public awareness campaigns” have failed dismally. We stand to benefit from marketing individually and collectively as a profession. And, no doubt, the public will benefit from better oral health and awareness . It’s up to us!

Our goal in this course is to generate marketing ideas and encourage dialogue from course participants. Being that this is a brand new course, our “curriculum” will be quite flexible. If you have experience and knowledge to bring to the table, it will be welcomed, and you will have opportunity to share with the rest of us. More than just lectures, we will “brain storm” together as a “marketing mastermind.” A rising tide lifts all ships. Don’t miss out on this exciting new course with a real Return On Investment! As with all Research Clinic courses, space is limited. Register early!

The required afternoon clinical sessions will be spent providing basic restorative services for patients and training dental assisting students.
